"I’m a performer of trombone and baritone horn with a variety of experience covering reading, ear training, composition, arrangement, instrumental technique, improvisation and more. My lifelong passion for music theory is tempered by a practical understanding of how to seek the best explanation of concepts for individual musicians at many different skill levels.

I hold a B.A. in Musical Acoustics, Composition and Performance from Hampshire College with studies at the Hartt School of Music. My true education, however, has been fueled by self-motivated research of how instruments and the voice interact with the world of musical sound.
