"Hi! My name is Braeden and I am a first year biochemistry student at WashU in St. Louis on the Pre-Med track. I was the highest scorer on the PSAT at my private Connecticut prep school and was my school's only National Merit Finalist.
I have 3 years of experience tutoring math as a peer tutor at my high school, and I have taught other subjects both informally and formally in the time since then. I enjoy working with students and watching them grow in their knowledge and appreciation for the material. I am able to instill long-term study habits and knowledge fundamentals that will benefit the student even after they have finished a class. Having my students do well is a source of personal and professional pride for me, and I am uniquely dedicated to pursuing student success.
I have performed exceptionally in math in both high-school and college courses. I achieved a 34 on ACT Math, a 750 on the Math Level 2 SAT Subject Test, a 4 on AP Calculus in my senior year, and high grades in the math course that I am currently enrolled in, Calculus II. I am a skilled math tutor and was accepted to become a peer math tutor at my high school for junior and senior year.
I have achieved As in both General Chemistry and General chemistry at my top-15 university and was invited to become a peer chemistry leader. I earned a 740 on my Biology SAT Subject Test and a 35 on ACT Science. I am currently a biochemistry major and was also accepted into my school's "Phage Hunters" program, where I study bacteriophages. Currently, I am characterizing and annotating a phage's genome (ask me about my work!). I am currently enrolled in another general chemistry course as well as its lab component, biology, and bioinformatics (a part of the Phage Hunters program).
Please reach out to discuss starting lessons with me! I would love to speak to you and would be glad to answer any questions you may have." less...
