"My name is Jennifer and I am a currently a Pre-Kindergarten teacher in the Middle Georgia area. I am certified in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K through 5th Grade) as well as Special Education – General Curriculum. I hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education which I completed in 2015 as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications. In addition, I studied English at the graduate level. With strong writing and grammatical expertise, I have had many opportunities to help develop my students’ language and literacy skills with emphasis on phonological awareness activities as well as early reading, concepts of print and early writing skills. I also help my students grasp mathematical processes such as understanding number and quantity, positional words, and applying addition and subtraction to everyday problems.

During the past nine years, I have had many opportunities to teach diverse groups of students, including those challenged by learning disorders, Autism, speech impairments and non-compliant behaviors. As a result, I have developed a deeper knowledge of how to accommodate different learning styles as well as how to meet my students’ distinctive needs. Because of this, I have been able to develop creative and stimulating lesson plans which have kept my students interested and focused.
