"Hi, I'm Hannah! I graduated magna cum laude from Princeton in 2016 with a degree in Classics and earned my MFA in Creative Writing from NYU.
I have been tutoring both independently and for a company since 2017, and have helped hundreds of students to improve their SAT and ACT scores, perfect their college application essays, and gain acceptance to the college of their choice.
I truly love working with my students and helping them to see that standardized tests aren't as scary as they seem. "Fun" may not be the first word that comes to mind when you think of the SAT or ACT, but I promise that my lessons make it simple, rewarding, and even enjoyable.
The college application essay is another specialty of mine. I love sitting down with my students and getting to know them on a personal level. From brainstorming and outlining to editing, revising, and proofreading, I make sure my students feel confident at every step along the way. The result is an essay written in their unique voice that grabs the attention of admissions officers.
My other passion is helping applicants to medical school on the personal statement and secondary essays. As someone who comes from a family of doctors, I love working with students to express the values and experiences that have led them to the medical profession. I know the process of applying to medical school can be overwhelming, and I help students to focus on what matters most—what brought them to this career in the first place. I also offer support to current med students applying for residency with the personal statement and supplemental ERAS.
When I'm not teaching, you can find me writing, reading, and editing the award-winning literary magazine American Chordata. Reach out to me to set up a lesson, or if you just want to chat about Louise Gluck :)" less...
