"I recently graduated with my MD/PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. My undergraduate was at Princeton University, where I majored in Molecular Biology and received certificates in Global Health, Engineering Biology, and Quantitative and Computational Biology. I have been tutoring for over a decade, specializing in high school/AP/college biology and chemistry. In terms of test scores, I received 5s on my AP Biology and Chemistry exams in high school and 800s on my SAT Biology E and Chemistry exams. I was also a two time semifinalist in both the US Biology and Chemistry Olympiads. I hope you will find me to be a personable, patient, and dedicated tutor who will work hard to help you understand the material and accomplish your academic goals.
I started tutoring in 2010. By explaining difficult concepts in a variety of ways, relating topics to real world applications, and creating practice problems, I realized that I could make a huge difference in someone’s education. Since then, I have tutored students in subjects ranging from SAT preparation to biology, calculus, and organic chemistry. Although many of my students worked with me as a private tutor, I also worked for the McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning at Princeton and a number of test preparation companies. Through my additional roles as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate biology laboratory class, organic chemistry lab, and medical school cell biology course, I have learned teaching techniques that can help students master difficult concepts. Outside of my current work, I enjoy taking care of my pets (I have a tortoise, axolotl, and many fish), growing carnivorous plants and vegetables, learning foreign languages, and playing the piano.
You will find me to be a patient and understanding tutor. While I will set up formal times to meet with you, know that you can always reach out to me online with any questions. I am here to help you whenever you need it! I hope that you will find working with me not only easy and rewarding, but also fun." less...
