"I have a PhD in philosophy in philosophy of language, which is closely related to logic and linguistics, from the University of Southern California, where I taught the undergraduate logic course. Before that I graduated summa cum laude (highest honors) from Princeton with an BA in philosophy. At Princeton I took lots of advanced proof-based math and physics before ultimately graduating as a philosophy major, but technical subjects including math are my specialty. In high school I ran out of math to take so I took multivariable calculus and linear algebra at Georgia Tech as one of about 5 high school students. I tutored math throughout high school up to the calculus level and received an 800 in SAT Math, 800 in SAT II: Math IIC, 800 in SAT II: Physics, 800 in GRE math, and 5s in AP Calculus: BS and AP Physics B and AP Physics C, among various other AP subject tests (all 5s). I twice qualified for the AMC's invitational AIME exam (national competitive math exam). I prefer to tutor math, but I am an excellent writer and received a 750 in SAT Reading and 800 in SAT Writing (total SAT 2350/2400). After grad school I was the editor of three academic science journals for 7 years before I got bored and decided to move into software engineering, which is a better fit for my skill set and interests. I am currently pursuing a masters in computer science." less...
