"Hello, I'm Veronica! I am a junior at Princeton University majoring in neuroscience. I have been tutoring for the past 5 years, and I have focused on SAT and ACT test prep. Many of my test prep students worked with me over the course of several weeks and saw dramatic improvements in their scores before and after tutoring. They all scored much higher than their initial test scores, and most scored close to or at the 99th percentile. I have also worked with students ranging from 2nd grade to adult learners. In the past, I have worked closely with students to help with AP Biology. For the past year, I have tutored close to 200 international students in English.
I like to work with my students to help them truly understand the material that they are learning instead of using rote memorization. In my experience, this has helped boost test scores and overall mastery of the content. I will usually start lessons off by teaching some content review through fun and interactive methods. Then, I like to expose my students to various practice problems to ensure that they understand the material and have the time to apply everything they learned. No student is the same, so I always spend hours coming up with personalized lesson plans for each of my students. I am happy to offer a FREE meeting to meet you and chat about how you learn best, so we can form the best team together to help you understand the material. I meet with all of my students in a one-on-one setting so I can create the perfect environment for YOU to learn and ask questions.
If desired, I give my students additional prep materials or resources they can access to continue practicing between our sessions. Our tutoring times can then be opportunities to ask questions and learn new content or review difficult concepts.
I have met with all of my past students over Zoom or other online platforms, and I am thrilled to offer online meetups. Please feel free to reach out for a consultation, to schedule a lesson, or to ask a question!" less...
