"Hello, I'm Vicenta! I graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. During my undergrad, I gained teaching experience working with different schools in Las Cruces and Chaparral, New Mexico. During the last semester of my undergrad, I student taught at Chaparral Middle School, working with students grades 7th-8th in an ensemble setting as well as one-on-one. Throughout my undergrad and student teaching semester, I was challenged to put my teaching skills to the test. It taught me how to make adjustments to my teaching approach as well as meet students different needs when it came to learning an instrument and music.

I enjoy the one-on-one aspect of teaching because it allows me to help students with any specific issues that they may be coming across. Before we begin lessons, I like to get to know my students first. I want to know their interests and why they want to take clarinet lessons. Every student's needs are different and I am prepared to put in the time to put together lessons that will benefit each student.
