"Hello! I’m Tynesha! Currently, I am a private kindergarten teacher as I study to complete my MAT in Elementary Education. I have worked with children/students in a variety of capacities over the past eight years (mental health counselor, psychological testing administrator, teacher, etc.).

I genuinely enjoy teaching , especially foundational concepts (letter sounds, sight words, counting/number recognition, etc.) I understand how difficult it may be for some children to view tutoring or learning as a positive experience. My philosophy on education is focused on differentiated methods of instruction to meet the needs of a student as an individual. In other words, I make sure to find out what works best for each student instead of assuming that the same set of instructional methods will work for everyone. I also implement a few strategies to help ensure that each tutoring session is a stress-free and positive experience for the student. Developing an environment where the student feels comfortable and building a trustful student-teacher relationship is important to me.
