"Hi everyone! I am a Doctor of Psychology student at The Chicago School (Psy.D.) and a University of Virginia undergraduate alumna. I have a wide range of experience in tutoring. I have experience working with 4th-12th grade students where I tutored in mathematics, chemistry, biology, and english. I have also assisted with college applications. I tutored UVA collegiate athletes through UVA’s Cavalier Academic Support Team in Nutrition, Biochemistry, and Neuroscience of Exercise. I also have experience working with individuals with ADHD, therefore I have learned a variety of techniques to help people with ADHD stay on task. As a swim coach, I was exposed to working with children 2-16, therefore I know how to work with students with a variety of needs.
I love helping students hear and visualize many different perspectives within a subject to help them process information long-term. I look forward to providing instruction that can benefit you as a student.
I studied mathematics during my undergraduate career. Additionally, I have tutored at various mathematics levels as a tutor for children and adolescents. I utilize a variety of techniques to find out what learning methods are best for each individual person because everyone learns differently!
As a current doctoral student in the psychology field and psychology minor, I can provide an academic perspective on a variety of psychology classes. In undergrad, I studied biology including general biology, anatomy & physiology, and biochemistry, therefore I can support students by providing knowledge. Additionally, I have done research within the psychology and neuroscience field, thus I can provide different perspectives on psychology subjects.
