"I am a historian. You may ask, what is a historian? A historian is a person who researches and lives history every day. I work as teacher who loves to help kids understand those things in history which don't make sense. I have been teaching for 7 years, but my love of teaching is lifelong. I love tutoring because it allows me the opportunity to help the student learn concepts they may not receive in the classroom.

Historians live each day noticing how current events are shaped by events in history. They can relate how these events shape future events. Historians who are in tune with how students learn are able to impart their knowledge to the students in one on one sessions. I am a great tutor because I have this ability to teach students the way they need to be taught.

I graduated with enough credits to have a political science minor, but my degree did not offer that as an option. I was a member of the University Historians as an undergraduate. I am currently the president of the local Phi Alpha Theta chapter at Texas A&M University Texarkana. I worked as an intern at the Texarkana Arkansas City Hall while obtaining my undergraduate degree. I have taken graduate history classes while obtaining my Texas 8-12 History certification. I have been employed for 7 years teaching U.S. History, World History, World Geography, and Texas History to elementary, middle school, and high school students.
