"I have been teaching programming here on Wyzant for four years. During this time I have worked with a wide range of students from first graders taking their first computer class to professionals looking to refresh their skills.

The primary subject I teach is Python programming. If you need help understanding specific topics, debugging your code, or figuring out how to plan and implement difficult projects, I am well equipped to aid you. If you need help with homework, I am happy to offer guidance and examples that will help you understand and complete your assignment with minimal wasted time.

If you are looking for a long term teacher to help you or your child learn how to program from the ground up, I have filled this role numerous times. Most of my long term students have been middle school age, though I have also taught a number of highschoolers and adults.

While Python is my preferred programming language, I am also equipped to assist with introductory level problems for a wide range of other languages including java, c++, block coding, and many others. I am willing to take a look at most programming problems to see if it is something I can assist with.

In addition to programming, I am also fully comfortable teaching up through high school level mathematics. If your child struggles with arithmetic in particular, I have developed a wide range of techniques for helping students of many different needs understand. I am willing to find what approach works best for your child's specific style of learning.
