I have ample experience with research and writing but the thing I’ve always loved most is teaching philosophy. Philosophy is not a spectator sport. You have to engage with the ideas of others, and I love fostering in my students the passion I have for philosophical discussion and writing. Each tutoring session is a wonderful intellectual journey that helps everyone (including me!) grow.
I have taught courses at all levels, from introductory college to advanced graduate seminars in ancient philosophy, and I have ample experience teaching moral philosophy, philosophy of mind, logic and environmental ethics. I have also supervised several undergraduate and Ph.D theses.
Every semester for nearly a decade I have taught First year writing at the college level. I have helped hundreds of students improve the clarity and efficiency of their writing. It’s something I take great pride in.
I can read Greek and Latin and I know a lot about Greek history. I am an expert in Ancient Greek philosophy and I studied at Berkeley where I took many classes in its highly ranked Classics department.
I’m a down-to-earth guy with a passion for philosophy and learning in general. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to learn more and to schedule a lesson!" less...
