"I have a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and worked as a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry for many years. In addition, I have been teaching or tutoring both General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at both the high school and college levels for over 20 years. I have taught Honors, General and AP chemistry at the high school level and General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at the college level, so I am very familiar with the curriculum.

My teaching strength comes from being able to take the complex topic and break it down into little pieces that are easily understood by a student. Because every student is different and learns differently, I adapt my teaching style to the needs of each student. Some students need a lots of examples while others need straight explanations. Each student I work with sets the pace and style for the work we do. I have tutored students in General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry at the many different universities across the country including Georgetown, George Mason, George Washington, Howard, American University, University of Southern California, University of North Carolina and Florida State University. I have also worked with students taking many other chemistry courses - from Chemistry for non-majors to Biochemistry to graduate spectroscopy.
