I am a professional academic and creative writing editor with a background in social and cultural history. Most of my classes focus on academic writing, self-editing skills, and reading comprehension. I work primarily with middle school and high school aged students, coaching them to improve their ability to express themselves and their ideas through writing. I welcome all writing projects large and small, from writing meaningful sentences to perfecting college application essays.

I have worked in rare book and manuscript libraries including the Library of Congress and National Archives, as a translator for archives specializing in Antiquities, as an editor for several major international academic journals. I have also worked on admissions and exam review boards for several academic institutions. I have taught on a wide range of platforms and in many different scholastic environments, both in person and online.

I put all of this experience to use to create classes that hone each student’s ability to effectively communicate, specifically through writing. A student’s ability to effectively communicate and understand written words is the key to academic success, regardless of what subject is their favorite or what their career goal might be.
