"Olivia M. is an educator and LinkedIn Learning instructor in Architecture, Construction and Engineering Software with over 10 years of training experience. As an active BIM manager, she has professional experience and insight into the latest technology workflows used in the AEC industry helping college students and professionals level up their skills. Olivia is a CAD generalist with a broad knowledge base in a variety of softwares and their interoperability workflows.

Olivia started teaching while working towards her bachelor's degree in Architecture at the University of Virginia where she ran a monthly lunch-and-learn on useful workflows and best practice for her fellow design students.

After graduating, Olivia began her career at ZGF Architects. During her time in this role, She continued to sponsor in office lunch-and-learning training on fabrication topics focusing on Rhino, Revit and Grasshopper workflows.

Several design competitions and exhibits brought her work to the attention of the Washington, D.C. architectural community, resulting in invitations to develop outreach programs. These include a lecture series for the American Institute of Architects as well as developing education programs for several universities and nonprofit makerspaces in the D.C. metro area.

After several years of shop management, Olivia started her own consultancy. While running her business, Olivia continued to pursue her interest in education as a LinkedIn Learning author, releasing courses to this day.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Olivia decided to pause work with her consultancy to further pursue her interests in technology with a move into a Design Technology role first at Gensler Architects and later at AECOM. Olivia leads regional efforts in professional training focusing on software workflow efficiencies.
