"Hi there prospective student,

My name is Henry Altenberg and I am a music teacher and performer. I currently hold a Bachelor of Music degree in Classical Guitar from NEIU in Chicago, I have studied at Berklee College of music on scholarship, and have also studied jazz guitar at Columbia College Chicago.

Currently I reside in Chicago where I maintain a very busy schedule as a teacher at the Old Town School of Folk Music, one of the worlds largest and most prolific community music schools. At OTSFM, I teach many group classes including in the core guitar program for adults, levels 1-3 for the 8-12 kids guitar program, work with kids, teen, and adult ensembles, teach kids piano, and adult Ukulele group lessons. I also maintain a highly busy private lessons schedule teaching guitar, piano, electric bass, ukulele, music theory, and songwriting.

Currently I am also performing with musical theater pit bands, hip-hop production teams, multiple solo artists, event bands, and in production for an album release.
