"Hi there! My name is Shay and I am a singer-songwriter, recording artist, performer, and ukulele enthusiast.

I graduated from Ventura College with an Associate Arts degree, and I have been performing professionally for the past 8 years (teaching for the past 6). I teach all ages, in person and online.

I do very well with anxious and sensitive learners because I was one once myself. All of my lessons are very individualized based on the learner's skill, interests, and goals. Everyone learns differently, so my teaching style is very accommodating and flexible.

My lessons are an even mix of theory and technique, and my student's goals and interests. If you like a certain genre, want to learn a specific song, or riff, I'm here for it.
