"Hello! I'm Lincoln Ross. I live in Chicago, and I'm currently taking a gap year before I go to college. I'm about to start work as a professional tutor and teacher's aide at Project Vision Chicago, and I'm looking to extend my tutoring hours through Wyzant. I'm highly flexible and cancellation is not a problem for me.

I have around a year of tutoring experience through volunteer tutoring through Chicago Teen Mentors, which I did in High School for about 7 months on and off tutoring two students. I currently tutor one student online and in person in Chicago mostly in Math since June. I'm going to be working around 20 hours a week tutoring and getting experience in both a school and an after-school tutoring facility. I tutored mainly middle school students in math, but I also have helped many of my highschool friends in writing and peer editing especially with college essays.

In high school, I took six AP classes. I got a 5 in AP Literature, AP Human Geography, and AP US History; I also was able to get a 4 in AP Lang, AP European History, and AP Calculus. Writing, history, and Math are my most comfortable subjects to teach and I have lots of resources to use to get (or even exceed) my AP scores. I also graduated with a 3.75 GPA and a 4.7 weighted GPA.

For all of my students, I prioritize confidence and stress management as I've seen morale is the most important part to learning but also as someone who's been under a lot of stress before. In all of my students, I will always spend time asking about how I can help them relieve stress and never add more to their plates if it's unnecessary. Mental health is a priority for me.

I hope I can be of assistance to you! Please let me know if you're interested, my hours are extremely flexible currently and I'm willing to reschedule on short notice." less...
