The classes I had taught cover from high school chemistry, in my home country, from undergraduate level. My approach had been to make a short introduction to the topic, work and sample exercises and then, leave the student time to solve and ask questions. I really like to work to people to overcome the understanding of the problem by making step-by-step questions and then, let them to achieve the answer.
I hope my learning experience will give my students the insight into the methodologies I have found better to approach difficult problems!
Calculus, Differential Equations, Numerical Methods. Most of chemical engineering problems involve ordinary and partial differential equations. As part of our training as engineers, we learned analytical and numerical methods to solve these particular equations.
My areas of expertise include chemistry, through many years of learning and applying my knowledge to chemistry related process. Thermodynamics, catalysis and electrochemistry are my strong areas.
I am a native speaker, born and raised in Colombia, South America. Language is one of my passions, I love to read and I have a blog in Spanish. As international student, I know the struggles of learning and understanding a new language. I volunteer, for 2 years, to lead the Spanish table at the International House at the University of Tennessee.
I believe every teaching experience is also a learning experience for the tutor. I encourage students and parents to provide any material they consider important to cover. I am easy to reach and will provide fast responses! Feel free to contact me with any further questions and I hope to start this learning experience together!" less...
