"I'm Emily! With degrees in English and Art History, I enjoy helping others hone and improve their writing skills. I have supplemented by academic experiences by working abroad teaching ESL for several years.

As a writing coach and proofreader, I am passionate about helping students expand their skills while enhancing their personal style. I have helped students enhance a wide variety of written work, including:

proofreading and suggesting revisions for essays,

assisting with polishing essays for college applications,

medical and graduate school applications,

research and dissertation proofreading,

and developing outlines for essays and responses.

My goal is to help my students express their ideas as succinctly, precisely, and personally as possible. In addition to focusing on grammar and structure, I make sure essays are cohesive, clear in their purpose, and polished. Accurately transcribing one's thoughts and ideas to the written word can be a challenging task; however, the rewards are innumerable!
