"Hello, I'm Jeff and I work primarily as an English writing tutor. I began tutoring students in English back in high school. Through college I continued tutoring essay writing, but I began to feel drawn toward EFL by the end of senior year. After I graduated from Bard College in 2014 with an English degree, I became a freelance writer and ghostwrote a couple novels. But I had strong memories of the satisfaction of teaching English, and so in 2015 I made a transition. I completed my Cambridge CELTA at Teaching House Portland and prepared to move to Europe to be a professional EFL instructor.

When I arrived in Prague, I expected to teach rooms of Beginner and Intermediate EFL students how to speak English. However, it became almost immediately apparent that I really longed for the personal experience of tutoring. So, I switched schools and began working as a tutor.

Since my nine months teaching accent reduction in Prague, I've done occasional work online, but now that I'm settled in Boston, I feel it's time to take on students face-to-face again.
