"Hi! My name is Cindy and I am a 23-year, proven career veteran in public education. Throughout my career, I have taught numerous subjects, but for the last 15 years have found my niche in math. I have led hundreds of students to become successful in math and to develop a deeper understanding of the subject through both my daily teaching and extensive personal tutoring. Over the last 15 years, in my capacity as an Algebra 1 teacher, I have had a 95% passing rate on the Algebra 1 End of Course Exam (EOC), required by the state of Missouri. I am excited to announce that I will be completing my Master's in Mathematics Education in May 2024.

I have a very laid back teaching style. While I have high expectations for my student's academic performance, I prefer to use a light-hearted approach. Making connections with students and developing a professional rapport with them has always been a driving point of my career. I use examples of complicated problems, taking care to break down the steps and explain not only the process but the reasoning behind the process, which allows students a deeper understanding. While every student learns differently, my ability to differentiate to all levels allows students to become more comfortable in the subject and to take ownership of their success.
