"Hello, my name is Benjamin. I studied medicine for my M.D. in upstate New York and came down South 6 years ago to practice psychiatry. I came to Myrtle Beach about three months ago and previously taught medical students during my training in Augusta, Georgia using hands-on walk throughs, condensed self-made notes, customized questions, verbal quizzing, and picturized examples and diagrams. I believe that if one cannot explain a concept to a five-year-old, then one does not truly grasp that material. Thus, I always break things down to the simplest level, whether working with a child or a medical student.

I am taking some time to set up a virtual clinic, so in the meantime, I want to teach a variety of ages not only because I am an excellent, enthusiastic teacher but also because it is very enjoyable and serves the community to help those building their educational future. In addition, during medical school, I volunteered with a “Spring Sprouts” program whereby I taught elementary students about agricultural biology and life cycles as we planted and grew a variety of plants while in Syracuse, New York. This was particularly fulfilling, like when I was a camp counselor for over a decade.

I even taught a senior symposium in College on creative writing considering that I have published three creative anthology books on Amazon in addition to publishing a peer-reviewed research paper, fine art, several poems, and three posters presented virtually across the world. I can teach a variety of topics including Biology, Pharmacology, Psychiatry, Psychology, Writing, Creative Writing, Basic Sciences, and Pre-med or Medical class subjects.
