"Hi! I'm Kobe. I have multiple years of experience working in the public school sector. I have been a paraeducator, credit retrieval specialist and summer school co-teacher in three districts, Tacoma Public Schools, Highline Public Schools, and Federal Way Public Schools!

I cannot get enough of education. My greatest joy in life is seeing the light behind a student's eyes when they finally understand something they have been struggling to comprehend. I have a BA in Psychology and a minor in Education. My dream job would be attaining a tenured position as a psychology professor.

Right now I am attaining my teaching cert. Soon I will be a certificated teacher! I will probably start by teaching social studies, but I am competent in all subjects that are required for a high school student to graduate.

I have previously tutored four students, one middle school student and three high school students. Two boys and two girls. Three with IEPs. All of them have been successful.

My greatest educational pride is staying after school every day for a month to help a female student with an IEP pass an Algebra test. Y=MX+B and all that. She didn't only pass, she got a 96%. She went from a .6% to an A in her class and she finished the course with a C+. I will be going to her graduation this year!

Fun facts about me:

I ride a motorcycle. I have three, a Kawasaki Ninja 250r, a Yamaha R6, and a Suzuki GSX-R750.

I play fighting games such as Street Fighter at a tournament level!

I am really young! I landed my first job in public school when I was only 21.

I have dated a wonderful girl for 5 years now. Everything I do is for her pretty much.

Ultimately my hope in education is to help form cognizant, informed, and critical members of our wonderful society. Young adults who will hopefully positively influence our country in the future. This is my purpose.
