"Hi! My name is Gill, and I’m a writer, illustrator, musician, and filmmaker born in New York City. I graduated with honors from NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where my thesis on Storytelling and the World Narrative was published in NYU’s research journal. At Gallatin, I developed a holistic approach to education, studying across multiple disciplines—from playwriting at Tisch to business courses at Stern, to Gallatin’s Art of Play in Therapy course.

With over five years of tutoring experience, I’ve worked with both institutions and private clients across the country, tailoring my teaching methods to each student’s individual learning style. My approach fosters intellectual curiosity, confidence, and deeper comprehension, making lessons engaging and effective.

While still an undergraduate, I had the rare opportunity to work as a graduate research assistant for Harvard Law professor and prison reform activist Bryonn Bain. I also served as an associate producer and musical performer for his one-man show, Lyrics From Lockdown, working alongside civil rights icon Harry Belafonte. During a performance for incarcerated youth at a Bronx correctional facility, I met Tag-Team World Beatbox Champion Chris Celiz. That moment led me to spend two years after graduation directing my first feature documentary, The Beatbox House, which explores Chris' band and the global beatboxing phenomenon.
