"Hi, my name is John, and I am currently a senior at Purdue University where I am majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Subjects that I am passionate about include: Math, Physics, Chess, Tennis, and Astrodynamics.

As a student, I have completed a math minor. Through my studies, I have gained vast experience with algebra, trigonometry, and calculus. I also received a 36 on the math section of the ACT.

I love math because of how it builds on itself, so you can always break a problem down into more easily digestible parts to find a solution. I am always interested in understanding where my professors get their equations from, and there is always a proof for it that helped me understand conceptually what was going on which made it easier to learn. Teaching people to really understand the material instead of just memorizing an equation or procedure is what I love about tutoring math.

Due to the nature of my coursework, I am always doing some kind of physics. Physics 1 and 2 has proven to be some of the most useful classes I have taken because the problem solving skills developed have vast applications. I hope to aid anyone I can get as much out of their physics classes as I did.
