"Hi, I'm Emily! I am a recent graduate who majored in Finance, and minored in Math and Accounting. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and I currently work in a Finance role. Since starting my career, I realized what I am missing so much is tutoring! I was a tutor all four years of college for high-school students (courses ranged from Pre-algebra, Algebra, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Pre-calculus) as well as a School of Business Peer Advisor that consisted of me mentoring a group of 12 freshman through business classes for their first two years. I really enjoy numbers and love being able to help someone better understand a new topic.

I vary my tutoring approach based on each student's preference to learning whether its through visualization, talking the concepts out loud, or routine practice problems. I like the challenge each new student brings and love to evolve my own technique and skills as I gain more experience tutoring.

I have always loved numbers since I was young, competing in math competitions to now having a minor in Mathematics. I also enjoy a range of math courses whether it's algebra or calculus or geometry, each offers a unique perspective on what is math. I primarily specialize in high-school math, but have experience tutoring Calc I and II.

I studied Finance for my undergrad degree and would say it's the topic I enjoyed most in all my years of schooling. I find the intersection between numbers analysis and real life application that finance offers extremely interesting. Having studied finance in school, I now work full-time as a finance associate that enables me to sharpen the skills I learned in school while building on my knowledge and keeping current with the market.
