"Throughout my career, I've been dedicated to helping students and teachers embrace mathematics. I began teaching in 1996, focusing on middle and high school students. My approach is to tailor instruction to fit students' needs, helping them build a solid foundation in math.

I have taught in various settings, including the School for Integrated Academics and Technologies Charter High School and Palm Springs Unified School District. As a Secondary Math Teacher on Special Assignment, I coached teachers on implementing Common Core Standards and culturally responsive teaching. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident tackling challenging math concepts. In my tutoring sessions, I developed individualized plans for juniors and seniors who were behind in credits, helping them improve their skills and meet graduation requirements. This resulted in significant gains on assessments like STAR and CAASPP.

One of my talents is breaking down barriers for students who believe they cannot succeed in math. I focus on building confidence by introducing concepts in an engaging and relatable way. I help students overcome fears and realize their potential. My involvement with PSUSD's Antiracism Coalition and community programs underscores my commitment to equitable education. This approach, combined with my passion for teaching and supporting students, allows me to provide tutoring that inspires success.
