I have a B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University, a M.S. in Education and a certificate in Educational Administration from Capella University. I have well over ten years of urban elementary teaching experience in public, private and public charter schools.

My belief is that most students who are struggling in school are lacking basic, foundational skills in reading. This in itself can affect self-esteem and motivation. Once this area is tackled, everything else should fall in place.

For several years I ran a tutoring company which served clients in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. My company was also a Virginia approved supplemental educational services provider which serviced eligible Title 1 students in public schools throughout the state. I created the curriculum my tutors followed, which was based on not only Virginia's Standards of Learning (SOLs), but Common Core as well.

I am currently self-employed as an internet marketer and consultant to small and home based business owners on and off line.
