"Greetings!

My name is Shanika, and I am a 2006 Graduate of USC-Columbia with degrees in Political Science and Speech Communication. In 2010, I received my Juris Doctorate from USC's School of Law. Currently, I practice law in S.C.

I have experience tutoring at all grade levels; all ages need assistance sometimes. I've tutored privately through after school programs (grade level and collegiate). Tutoring has always been something I have enjoyed, and I look forward to working with this program and achieving great results! The following highlights my experience:

One of my most recent experiences as a tutor is when I assisted an individual in preparing for the LSAT last year. My approach was to identify her best studying strengths while helping her to identify areas of weakness that needed to be strengthened for that particular exam. I am happy so say she is now completing her first year in law school!

During my Undergraduate studies, I tutored athletes with USC-Columbia's Athletic Enrichment program. Usually, I tutored one-on-one since many students learn and understand differently. However, there were times when I tutored in small groups.

I also was an assistant teacher with South Carolina State's Gear Up program. For the most part, I assisted students in a classroom type setting. While in grade school, I spent time tutoring one-on-one, and I also tutored for an after school program with students who were having trouble with their grades.
