In my opinion, the most rewarding aspect of being a tutor is to see the progress of my understudies and the look on their face when they do a perfect run-through of a song that was giving them trouble a couple weeks ago.
I've taken marching and concert band since junior high as well as jazz band since my freshman year. Jazz is my personal preference; I was one of four sophomores to make it into the PHS Varsity jazz in 2013 and won the "Best jazz musician" award in my class as a senior three years later. I was also a member of the Sonoma County (concert) Honor Band in the spring of 2016.
