"I do not have teaching experience other than teaching patients or parents within their own or child's health situation. I promise to help any nursing student improve their knowledge in nursing. I have been a nurse's aid in my early 20's. I then entered the US Navy where I was assigned to the Hospital Corps. I was also sent to Operating Technician School while in the Navy. After 5 years in the Navy I was able to challenge the LPN exam (back in the 1970's) and passed. While I worked as an LPN OR Scrub Nurse I attended my local community college that had just started an upgrade program to RN for LPN's. I graduated in 1983 and worked as an Operating Room Nurse for many years. When I moved to Texas I decided to change to a different area of nursing, Neonatal ICU. I worked there 4 years. Now I am working as a Pediatric Home Care Nurse, enjoying it very much. Each area on nursing has it's pro's and con's. Each nurse has to search to see what fits their current life situation.
