"Bonjour! I’m Carolyn, and I love learning French - and helping others learn the language as well. After taking my first French class in 2014, I realized that I didn’t just want to get a grade, but that I wanted to truly know the language. While far from completely fluent, I’ve received several awards and recognitions for work that I’ve done towards my goal. Throughout my time in high school I received three awards from Le Grand Concours, the National French Contest. Included in this awards was Le Prix Tim Bevins, which was given as a result of placing the highest in my category for Central New York - and in the top five percent nationally. My high school career culminated with a score of 5/5 on the AP French Language and Culture exam, only achieved by 13% of test takers.
Currently, I am working towards a minor in French at Norwich University, though I will be transferring in the upcoming year in order to pursue a degree in Adolescence French Education. During my first semester at Norwich I participated in the Students to Scholars Symposium for my research paper titled “Fighting the Extinction of Cajun French: Potential Solutions for a Pressing Issue”.

For students just starting out, or for college students doing research, I’ll do my best to be of help.
