"This is Weizhong (Wei), in Kirkland WA. I am an experienced and effective math tutor. For the past three years, I have helped quite a few students with various difficulties in math learning. I also tutor (teach) Mandarin Chinese and some entry level computer classes (coding, Python, C, Assembly, introduction etc.) I have 2 engineering master degrees and have worked as a software engineer for many years ( so I have very solid & extensive math training ). My tutoring/teaching experience started very early when I just became a teenager -- I need to constantly help my younger brother. Later I taught computer related courses in college for 4.5 years as a full time job. I also have a complete cycle of educational experience/exposure out of my own child ( preschool all the way to graduate school recently). so I am strong at both math and teaching skills through all of the above background combined, a lot of happy families/parents after my tutoring. I have had many successful tutoring results in the following subjects: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Elementary Math, Middle school math, Geometry, SSAT test prep. I am also confident to cover the following subjects: ISEE, SAT math test prep, trigonometry etc. The majority of my math students are 3rd -9th grader (elementary or middle school kids, some high schoolers), most of the time I go to student locations (home) to do in-person tutoring (3 years through a popular national company platform focus at in-home tutoring); recently, due to the pandemic, all switched to online format. I would prefer to mostly stay in an online format until we all can feel comfortable. Do have adult students, I can help them efficiently also. Very often, in-person format works better than online. So if possible, I'd still prefer you are in the local Seattle area, we can then do in-person tutoring when the situation allows, or needed. The online platforms I mainly use are zoom, and Skype. But open to other ones if you prefer.
