I am an experienced industrial Statistician, now retired. I have over 30 years of experience working for industrial giants such as Corning, Inc., Hewlett Packard, and Intel where I applied statistical methods to help create many of the products now common in our everyday lives.

One of the hallmarks of my industrial practice was to always put my client's needs first. This requires excellent listening skills and patience, getting to know my clients strengths and expertise, and then using those strengths to mentor and educate my clients in the hows and whys of one or more appropriate statistical methods for their specific problem.

One of my job responsibilities in industry was teaching a variety of statistics classes to fellow scientists, researchers, engineers, technicians, and operators. My classes were in very high demand as the instruction was focused on the kind of problems they encounter daily such as comparing two or more samples, measuring the degree of association between two or more factors, developing a model for predictive purposes, or planning an experiment. Class participants routinely came to my office between classes to dig deeper in the subject or direct assistance for their specific problem. I was twice nominated for a corporate development award; an award given to employees who make major contributions to improving the skills and collaboration of the technical community.

I greatly enjoy working with interested students to improve their skills and make math and statistics real and applicable. In addition to my industrial practice, I have privately tutored students over my professional career in algebra, probability, and statistics.
