"I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in psychology: cognitive neuroscience in 2019. I completed medical school at University of Massachusetts, and am currently a resident physician in internal medicine.
As someone who went through the medical school and residency application process, I am very familiar with the essays for AMCAS, AACOMAS, and ERAS. I am actively seeking students who would like help with their personal statements, activities sections, and secondary/supplemental essays. I am also experienced in Common App personal statements and undergraduate supplemental essays. I assist students with every stage of the writing process including brainstorming, grammar checks, structural edits, word choice edits, etc. I help students get their ideas on paper in an engaging and professional way. I now have 4+ years of experience with these essay prompts. My past students have been very pleased with my approach, and I am proud to say that I helped many students get accepted to both U.S. MD and DO programs in past cycles, including top 20 USMD programs. I also assist with other pre-professional application essays for veterinary school, dental school, masters programs, PA school, CRNA programs, summer internship programs, college applications, and more. Many of the same principles apply to essays for these programs, especially the personal statement. I am happy to edit any writing that requires a professional tone, whether it is an email, cover letter, resume, or job application.
I am happy to accept essay drafts via email, edit them independently, and return them to students within 24-48 hours. If the student is creating their first draft of an essay or needs to has out various ideas, we can discuss whether a video chat session is the better option.
In general, I like to match my tutoring methods to the learning style of the student. I value effective communication, and promise all of my students that I will respond to their questions/concerns in a timely manner." less...
