"Art history can be inspirational or a sharp stake to the eye. I've had both types of instructors, and I prefer the former. My AP Art History classes were known not only for preparing students to ace the exam, but for doing so with a sense of humor and an eye toward developing a solid base of knowledge.

I taught AP Art History in high school classrooms for five years, preceded by teaching art history in both public colleges and art colleges for an additional five years. The high school AP exam preparation is, by far, the more rigorous and demanding. I am now happily retired from life in the classroom, but still offer my expertise to those students, on any level, who want to strengthen their knowledge of art history and/or prepare themselves for the AP exam.
