"I have been a high school science teacher for 31 years. I am recently retired and looking forward to working with students individually and helping them find success in the science courses they are taking. I’m certified to teach Grades 7 through 12 general science, biology and chemistry in the state of Tennessee. I have taught most science courses offered in high school but I have the most experience in high school physical science, biology and chemistry.

I usually work with students who are in their freshman or sophomore year of college and are looking for some extra help and support in their science courses as well as high school students. Although my experiences at the high school level, I would like the opportunity to work with upper elementary or middle school students in hopes that they would find the success needed to feel more confident and excited about their future coursework in science.

Most every year of my 31 years as a high school science teacher, I have taught classes for students who struggle to succeed academically. I understand that their life outside of school can be filled with many challenges complications and that all students deserve an opportunity to be successful and I truly believe that this is possible with someone there to help and guide them.
