I would like to give back to kids (and parents for that matter) who still think math is a worse four letter word than those others. : /. I loved teaching Algebra because it used math to teach kids how to think logically and to always have a plan. These are the values taken to any walk of life. If I could again make a student smile with the 'I did it' mentality, it makes life better. Having confidence to solve problems will carry on to any career path of choice. Math is fun. Algebra is fun.
My experience is 30 years in the classroom with time scheduled before and after school for tutoring students wanting to stay up with the lessons. I graduated from Augustana College, IL with a degree in Bio Education, picked up math courses to allow me to teach middle school math, Algebra, and Geometry. I have a Masters Degree in Education, Curriculum based.
