"I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University and majored in Biological Sciences in a pre-med setting. The course work was concentrated in math, biology, chemistry, physics and sciences in general.

I received my MD degree from Cornell University Medical College, did my Residency and then into private practice in northern Vermont.

As a physician I was constantly learning and teaching others to maintain my skills in a complicated profession. I thoroughly enjoy interacting with others and volunteered to teach medical students and residents since it was so satisfying. Once in practice, I volunteered in the local high school health classes, both as public service and to pass on my knowledge.

Since retirement, I've tried substitute teaching in local schools but ended up discouraged by the large classrooms and not being able to teach students one on one since the current COVID-19 environment makes it a bit chaotic for both teacher and student. I prefer interacting directly with students who are eager to study and learn in a more organized fashion. I don't have a formal teaching certificate but have the education, personal skills and desire to teach. I am excited about tutoring.

I have had to help my children and grandchildren with their math, science and physics assignments. Mostly on the high school level.
