Attended University of Massachusetts Boston and obtained Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing with Cum laude (3.365 gpa). Maintained A’s and B’s throughout college especially in nursing core classes. Those included anatomy and physiology, health assessment, pathophysiology, adult medicine pharmacology, maternity and woman’s health, pediatrics, mental health nursing, community health nursing, and complex care medicine.
I currently work on an inpatient adult medicine unit in a boston hospital. We provide care to a variety of patients, some examples being, oncology, acute treatment, organ failure, surgical recovery, patients with cardiac or respiratory complications, mental health, diabetes, etc. We also care for patients transferred from the medical intensive care unit. In the field that I currently work in I integrate adult medicine and pharmacology into my every day routine. Medical/surgical nursing, pharmacology, and pathophysiology are where I specialize in education, but am willing to teach all subjects. I also would be 100% open to helping prepare for NCLEX!
My goal post undergrad is to continue my education and obtain a masters degree in education to hopefully improve the knowledge and confidence of other nurses! I often studied in groups in college, leading discussion and recommending study habits to others. I made flash card sets for every exam that was often used by many of my peers to help pass. With those habits involved I was able to successfully pass every class and graduate on track." less...
