I graduated from St. Petersburg University in Russia in 1985. I have over 6 years of teaching experience as an after school teacher and private tutor of Russian as a second language. I have more than two years of translation experience in various fields. I learned to assess a student’s level and needs and to plan adequate and structured lessons. My goal is to make Russian learning easier and more fun for everyone. Having a sense of humor is mandatory for all my Russian language students.

I am also experienced chess instructor. I provide in classroom lessons as well as private in-house sessions. I have been playing chess for over 40 years. I started to teach children to play chess in 1979. I also have worked as a Chess Teacher helping young children to develop chess skills, in particular to enhance creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, memory, concentration, intellectual maturity, and self esteem.My student recently became a national master.
