"Hi! I’m Yaerin, a medical student at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and I am currently wrapping up my residency interviews. Before medical school, I took two gap years to pursue research, and during medical school, I completed a year-long research fellowship. I graduated from the University of Chicago with a B.A. in Biology, specializing in Endocrinology, and was part of the Bucksbaum Institute Clinical Excellence Scholars Track. Along the way, I worked as a Teaching Assistant for an Endocrinology course and mentored younger students through after-school programs.

Over the years, I’ve worked with many pre-med students on their medical school AMCAS applications. From personal statements to supplemental essays, school lists, and letters of intent, I’ve guided students through every stage of the process. I also offer tailored interview preparation, including mock interviews in both traditional and MMI formats, to help applicants present themselves with confidence and clarity.

In addition to pre-medical advising, I assist with college applications (e.g., Common App essays), residency personal statements, ERAS applications, and applications for research opportunities such as summer fellowships and gap-year roles. My experiences with writing research publications and navigating multiple application cycles have given me the insight to help applicants highlight their unique strengths and tell their stories effectively.
