"Hello! My name is Tutor Pat, and I have prepared more than 500 students for astounding success on the SAT and ACT since 2005. My previous test prep tutees have been accepted by Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, CalTech, Stanford, and a majority of US News's Top 50 Universities. Currently, I work one-on-one with students on all sections of both tests, with an emphasis on helping those targeting elite level scores (1500+ / 34+).

I started my tutoring career working for one global test prep company, then developed the SAT curriculum for a second, before branching out on my own. Since then, my careful and customized approach has attracted students from four continents and was the subject of an article in The New Yorker magazine. In advance of the new digital SAT, I have completely retooled my curriculum and developed my most effective strategies and materials yet.

I graduated from Princeton (AB, English), where I was a finalist for both the Rhodes and the Marshall Scholarships. Winning the latter, I went to graduate school (MA, University of London) in the UK. I was in the country only a few months before I started tutoring -- as the 'in-house' SAT instructor at the American School in London -- and have never stopped! I look forward to each released SAT and ACT and have notched several perfect scores.

Now based in Los Angeles (but Zooming worldwide), I see students six days a week. In session, I diagnose and address weaknesses in not only test content (the "Must Know" ideas you need to master), but also test-taking strategy (the sometimes counterintuitive behaviors that sharpen your focus, improve your speed, and boost your morale). After every meeting, you will receive personalized digital notes detailing our work together, along with links to additional resources custom-tailored to your needs.
