I'm an English, History, and Test Prep specialist with two years of full-time experience tutoring the SAT, ACT, and AP exams, as well as college essays. (I also teach the LSAT.) Until recently, I worked in Brentwood for a national test-prep company. I taught more than 100 students from public high schools in Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, and West Los Angeles, and from top private schools like Brentwood, Marlborough, and Harvard Westlake. More recently, I've taught both high school and college students privately, mostly on the Westside.
I believe the best teaching is personal. It happens when the teacher knows the student as an individual teaches accordingly. Private tutoring allows me to do that. I do my best to meet my students where they are and make them comfortable no matter what level they are at. I pride myself on my patience, and on my success working with a vast range of students. Wherever you're starting from, I'll help you go higher and hopefully learn something about yourself along the way. The only catch is that I'll make you work as hard as I do for it. You'll need to be committed to taking charge of your own improvement: Be willing to make mistakes in order to get better, and face your weaknesses head-on so you can learn from them.
