"I have been a high school English teacher for the past 15 years. In that time, I have prepped my students both in the classroom and in home instruction tutoring sessions on a variety of subject matter. My specialty is test preparation for the SAT/ACTs and essay construction as well as all areas of English literature/writing. I have a Master's degree in Writing Studies in order to gain new helpful practices to turn my students into more efficient writers. I also provide preparation for high school and college interview processes.

I have a passion for writing and a great love for reading; I am very well-versed in contemporary (particularly young adult literature novels such as The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner) and classic literature, having taught a wide variety of novels and writing skills over the years. This has given me a strong background teaching vocabulary, grammar, different forms of test preparation, and the subtleties of English literature.

As a middle/high school teacher, I have the advantage of making connections with a hundred different students each year and have experienced many different types of learning styles. I am very enthusiastic about my subject matter and coax even my most reluctant students into a comfortable and positive learning state.
