"My job as a tutor is to serve my students' individual needs. I have improved every SAT student's score by at least 150 points and each ACT student's score by 5 points. When it comes to preparing for the SAT and ACT, I start by identifying and addressing problem areas in order to best enhance the student's strengths as we go along. Mastering the rules of grammar and reading comprehension question categories are the foundation of my preparation process. I work well helping students identify exactly what the question is asking, and my experience as a question writer gives me insight into the type of answer the test makers are looking for.

I also have extensive experience editing academic papers in a variety of subjects: music theory, public policy, economics, literature, and nursing. I have a 24 hour turnaround time, and am particularly strong at streamlining and clarifying ideas. I am excellent at editing application essays, particularly because I help students focus on their strengths and answer prompts as specifically and efficiently as possible. Because of my tutoring experience in NYC, I can work with elementary and middle school children to develop reading and writing skills.
