"Hi, I'm Carolyn, but most students call me Carrie! I am currently studying at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, specifically in Business Administration and Data Science. Throughout my life, a constant mentality I've adopted was asking for help when needed. Thus, my goal is to provide support to the community, especially those who are looking for assistance in how to progress in their education. I have experience tutoring most grade levels, and in my tutoring sessions, I serve a myriad of positions to ensure the success of my students! These include: Reviewing coursework, creating lesson plans, formulating templates, serving as a general advisor, and answering any questions a student may have.
Hence, I specialize in helping students with the following: Homework assistance in Statistics, Chemistry, Economics, and English; Outlining and writing a research paper; Organizing citations; Designing a college application; Writing a personal statement; Crafting a scholarship application; Writing a job application letter and CV.
I also tend to be incredibly flexible, thus students are free to choose one of the following plans:
1. We meet in-person/online to complete any tutoring together during that time frame. Students are able to work alongside a tutor and pose ideas/questions if needed.
2. If you need essays edited but don't want to meet, message me and I will schedule a lesson, during which I will spend that time giving you feedback. Each essay will be considered 1/4 of a hour, that is, sending me 4 essays to edit would equal the cost of one normal tutoring session.
3. I also love to give my students a hybrid option, in which students can spend some sessions in a full tutoring session and other sessions simply sending me work to look over. This way, students will have the autonomy to be able to choose what they need at a given time :)
