"Hello everyone! My name is Ryan Krug. I began prepping students for all sections of the SAT in 2012. When I took the SAT as a junior in HS in 2010, I earned a perfect 800 in its mathematics section, 670 in its reading section, and 710 in its writing section, with a 9/10 on the essay, for an overall score of 2180/2400. This equates to 1510/1600 on today's version of the test. When I took the SAT again in 2017, I once again scored perfectly in the mathematics section and earned 760/800 in the reading comprehension and language & writing sections for an overall score of 1560/1600.
After nearly a decade of helping students prepare for this test, I have developed and refined my own SAT prep program for both in-person and remote students. I conduct all of my remote sessions using an online whiteboard known as LessonSpace. Every student receives his or her own permanent LessonSpace link. If a student wants to look back on previous work, he or she can simply click on the link provided and/or request a recording from me. I charge $45 an hour for a remote session and $55 - 65 for an in-person session depending upon the location of the prep session.
I teach all of my students how to approach the reading comprehension section, how to identify generalities in the language & writing section, and how to create SAT math flashcards to help boost their scores in the mathematics section. SAT math flashcards represent a test-taker's #1 tool to use to improve one's overall SAT math score. I provide some students with additional homework assignments tailored specifically to them.
Initial sessions with test-prep students are designed to be one-hour trial sessions. Students pay for a trial session only after scheduling a second session. During a one-hour trial session, we generally focus on SAT math for the first 30 minutes before transitioning to reading comprehension for roughly 20 minutes and then to language & writing for the final 10. I can and do alter initial sessions to fit individual students' needs.
If you are in need of a true SAT expert, you have found the right instructor!" less...

Education and Qualifications
school: | University of South Florida |
I worked as a middle school science teacher from 08/2018 through 01/2021 after earning a BS in health sciences with a concentration in biological sciences from the University of South Florida - Tampa in August of 2017. Although they have since expired, I once possessed certifications to teach chemistry, mathematics, and ESE in the state of Florida.
I stopped teaching to further my own education; I am now pursuing a BS in finance. However, I still retain all of the knowledge learned and wisdom gathered while working as a teacher with HCPS.
I spent the first half of my teaching career teaching 6th-grade Earth science, 7th-grade life science, and 8th-grade physical science in resources classes containing solely ESE as well as some EBD students.
I gained a lot of patience during my time working as a middle school science teacher, especially when teaching students with learning disabilities and emotional or behavioral disorders. I've learned that a good teacher never loses his cool.
